Unison has named Lufthansa Technik the European MRO provider for CFM International LEAP ignition systems under a 15-year agreement. Lufthansa Technik will service exciters and leads for LEAP-1A, LEAP-1B, and LEAP-1C* engines at its Hamburg facility using OEM parts and technical data from Unison. Lufthansa Technik is also authorized to administer warranty for components serviced at its facility.
The partnership gives LEAP operators an OEM-authorized MRO option for ignition system support in Europe. Unison and Lufthansa Technik will continue to compete globally for repair and overhaul work outside this agreement.
