COLUMBIA, MD, Sep 11, 2025 – Vectorworks has announced the release of Vectorworks 2026, a suite designed to streamline design workflows and improve collaboration across disciplines. The update spans Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Design Suite, Fundamentals, ConnectCAD, Braceworks, and Vision, with English-language editions available. Positioned for architects, landscape architects, designers and entertainment professionals, it introduces changes aimed at reducing repetitive tasks and reshaping how design projects are planned and delivered.
“At Vectorworks, we know that every project is an opportunity for creative impact. That’s why Vectorworks 2026 is designed to reduce manual adjustments, pursue bold ideas, and help you meet technical standards with ease,” said Vectorworks chief product officer Darick DeHart. “Our customers want to design without limits, and this release is all about freeing up their time for creative exploration. This is a software that adapts to you, so you can take your work to the next level.”
Responding to Industry Trends with Smarter Workflows and Sustainability Tools
Vectorworks’ research points to the forces shaping value in architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), and landscape design, growth in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and demand for sustainability tools.
According to Vectorworks’ 2025 report on AEC industry trends, BIM adoption will keep expanding over the next decade, driven by return on investment (ROI) and client interest. To support BIM-first workflows, Vectorworks Architect 2026 boasts Door, Window, and Wall 2D Detailing, which gives architects granular control of door and window graphics at multiple levels to match drawing scale and project phase. Architects can generate wall plans from 3D geometry, helping drawing appear without manual intervention.
Vectorworks 2026 adds a Sustainability Dashboard that consolidates analysis tools into a single view and provides live metrics to inform design decisions throughout the project lifecycle. This will help designers to deliver sustainable, environment friendly projects.
Responding to Entertainment Industry Trends
Vectorworks Spotlight 2026 introduces an LED Video Wall tool that allows designers to create and visualize dynamic video displays as part of their production. This feature reflects the use of LED video integration in live concerts and installations.
Investing in Quality
Vectorworks 2026 introduces flagship advancements like Depth Cueing and Worksheet Slicing to minimize repetitive steps, support customization, and simplify design tasks – setting the stage for how design software could evolve in the coming years.
“Vectorworks 2026 isn’t just an upgrade, it’s a commitment to smarter, faster, and more sustainable design. We’re excited to see how designers around the world push their boundaries with these new tools,” said Vectorworks senior product marketing director Rubina Siddiqui, Assoc. AIA.
