COLUMBIA, MD, Sep 17, 2026 – Vectorworks has released Vectorworks 2027. The update moves graphics work to the GPU, rebuilds textures on a physically based rendering (PBR) system, and adds support for Revit families and DXF/DWG dynamic blocks. The 2027 release includes Vectorworks Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Design Suite, Fundamentals, ConnectCAD, and Braceworks.

Rendering and Texture Tools
Graphics processing now runs on direct GPU support, with Metal on Mac and Vulkan on Windows. Vectorworks redesigned the Edit Texture dialog to show live previews while materials are built and adjusted.
“By modernizing our graphics engine with Metal on Mac and Vulkan on Windows, we’re shifting more processing from the CPU to the GPU, to deliver a new level of speed and responsiveness across the workflows designers rely on every day,” said Hugues Tsafak, vice president of product development at Vectorworks. “In some cases, designers can see performance gains of 15x to 35x in workflows like panning and zooming – and up to 50x faster multiple-object selection – making it possible to navigate large 3D models and render complex projects at speeds that previously would have seemed out of reach. These advances make Vectorworks dramatically faster and more responsive on the hardware designers already have.”
The AI Visualizer now runs Nano Banana AI models for subscription customers, with higher image resolution, improved scene reasoning and support for up to 14 image references.
Content Hub and File Support
The Exchange is a new hub and in-app palette. Users share, submit and discover ready-to-use resources from the user community and industry partners without leaving their workflow. Revit Families and DXF/DWG Dynamic Blocks now arrive as dynamic objects, which cuts rebuild and cleanup work when assets move between tools.
Geolocation and Real-World Coordinates
The Geolocation Setup Wizard aligns surveys, point clouds, GIS layers and location imagery around a single survey point. Google Maps imagery is new and available to subscription customers. Designers can place models against real-world coordinates without GIS expertise.
Entertainment Design Workflows
Schematic View workflows now automate data tags, label legends and dimensions from one dialog, and the settings save as reusable sets. Cable connectivity workflows were reworked for building power and data plans. Spotlight 2027 adds the Audio Listening Plane, which defines listening planes, exchanges them with compatible audio analysis tools through MVR, and displays imported sound coverage results in Vectorworks.
Availability
English-language editions of Vectorworks 2027 are available now. Localized versions begin shipping in October and conclude in Q1-2027. Vectorworks Subscription and Service Select customers can download Vectorworks 2027 once it ships in their market.
