MUNICH, Germany, Feb 17, 2026 – Wingcopter and TAF Industries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a joint venture focused on drone and defense technology. The agreement was signed at the 62nd Munich Security Conference. Government representatives from Ukraine and Germany attended the event.
Wingcopter and TAF Industries plan to expand defense manufacturing into Germany to reduce industrial risk and maintain wartime supply. The joint venture supports Ukraine’s defense production and aims to build long-term German–Ukrainian cooperation in defence technologies under the “Build with Ukraine” framework.
TAF Industries will provide licensed reconnaissance UAV designs and field experience to the joint venture. Wingcopter will supply industrial infrastructure, manufacturing expertise and engineering capacity to scale production in Germany.
Wingcopter Security & Defence (WSD) will support the joint venture with industrial and technical capacity in the security and defense sector. The unit adds ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) and cargo roles to Wingcopter’s delivery and surveying portfolio, applying its dual-use platform and intellectual property to defense use cases.
Wingcopter and TAF Industries intend to co-develop and localize new UAV platforms for European and NATO markets. The initiative focuses on expanding Europe’s defense manufacturing base and reinforcing regional security capacity.

Volodymyr Zinovskyi, CEO of TAF Industries, said: “This cooperation is about responsibility, resilience, and strategic growth. For TAF Industries, scaling the production of systems already saving lives on the frontline is a top priority. This joint venture combines our battlefield-proven innovation with Germany’s industrial strength, turning operational expertise into scalable manufacturing. We are ready to share our unique combat-driven experience with our partners to strengthen collective resilience and build a stronger defense ecosystem together.”
Tom Plümmer, co-founder and CEO of Wingcopter, added: “Wingcopter has been developing leading drone technology and in-depth know-how for more than ten years. We are proud to partner with one of Ukraine’s strongest defence tech companies to leverage these powerful skills to support Ukraine’s fight for freedom – at an industrial scale. Together with TAF Industries, we are building a sustainable industrial bridge between Germany and Ukraine. Importantly, this will also secure and create jobs across Germany as well as contribute to Europe’s security and resilience.”
