ANDOVER, UK, Aug 7, 2025 – Wright Industries has acquired Exception PCB Ltd, bringing the printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer back under UK ownership. Part of the Connexion Technologies group, Exception PCB joins a portfolio focused on strengthening domestic manufacturing. The acquisition reflects an effort to support the UK’s industrial infrastructure and expand capabilities in electronics. It also aligns with government priorities to secure supply chains and reduce offshore dependency. With this move, the companies aim to invest in core technologies that serve sectors such as defense, aerospace, and energy – an approach that signals similar reshoring trends in global manufacturing.

“Bringing Exception PCB back from Asian into UK ownership strengthens our national manufacturing resilience, aligns with UK Government objectives, and opens new opportunities to innovate, invest, and lead,” said Craig Wright, chairman & CEO at Connexion Technologies.

“The business has undergone significant recent investment in its processing technology to place it at the forefront of PCB manufacturing globally and we are proud to support its continued growth.”

“Exception PCB has a proud history rooted in British engineering,” said Kamal Berberi, general manager at Exception PCB. “We’re excited to join forces with Connexion Technologies and continue developing strategic technologies that serve our customers.”

The acquisition comes amid renewed national efforts to rebuild domestic manufacturing capacity, particularly in defense, aerospace, energy, and critical infrastructure. Under UK ownership, Connexion Technologies and Exception PCB aim to reinforce the country’s industrial base, safeguard supply chains, and maintain manufacturing jobs.
