OBERKOCHEN, Germany, Aug 10, 2026 – ZEISS Ventures has led a EUR 2.2 million investment round in SeeTrue Technologies, which develops eye-sensing technology for optical systems and eyewear. SeeTrue plans to commercialize an ultra-low-power eye-sensing architecture.
The architecture combines miniaturized sensing hardware with embedded processing. SeeTrue said the design is intended to reduce power consumption and hardware footprint. The technology supports gaze-based interaction and attention-aware computing in healthcare-related, industrial and smart eyewear applications.
“SeeTrue has developed a differentiated approach to eye tracking. We believe the team is well positioned to address important challenges across vision-based applications and enable more efficient ways of human-machine interaction,” states Prof. Dr. Boris Hofmann, head of ZEISS Ventures.
“We are working to make eye tracking more compact and suitable for the future of optical and wearable technology. ZEISS’ expertise in optical system design and vision-based technologies provides a valuable perspective as we continue to develop and commercialize our eye-sensing platform,” says Roman Bednarik, CEO and co-founder of SeeTrue Technologies.
Superhero Capital and North Karelia Growth Fund (NKGF), managed by Redstone Nordics, also participated in the investment round, along with other investors.
