WESTFORD, MA, Apr 1, 2026 – Zuken updated its Assembly Task Manager plugin for E3.series to support digital assembly workflows in harness manufacturing. The update standardizes instruction creation and execution and links engineering data to downstream assembly through Harness Builder for E3.series.
Assembly Task Manager replaces manual work instruction processes with structured task sequencing and standardized formats, reducing dependence on informal knowledge. It generates digital instructions that combine text, images, video, and links to guide technicians through each step, and displays a digital harness formboard to indicate work location and build progression.

Assembly Task Manager applies this approach to harness manufacturing, where work instruction consistency and repeatability affect production. It standardizes sequencing and documentation across harness builds, reducing variation between teams and production sites. Assembly Task Manager tracks task completion for each harness assembly, providing visibility into shop floor progress.
Assembly Task Manager captures assembly knowledge within a digital framework, reducing reliance on individual expertise and supporting repeatable processes. The system standardizes onboarding, enforces process consistency, and retains operational knowledge in high-volume production environments.

“Manufacturers are under increasing pressure to deliver consistent quality at a predictable cost,” said Bob Potock, vice president of marketing at Zuken USA. “By expanding Assembly Task Manager to harness manufacturing, we’re helping customers formalize and standardize their assembly processes within a digital framework that supports long-term scalability and consistency.”
“Assembly Task Manager enables engineering teams to define structured task sequences within the digital harness formboard and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions to manufacturing,” said Paul Harvell, vice president of engineering at Zuken USA. “This approach gives technicians precise visual and procedural context, supporting more consistent execution on the shop floor.”
