CADDi Names Chris Cope as VP of Engineering

A new VP of Engineering with 20+ years in AI, security, and automation has been appointed. With past roles in high-growth tech firms, the focus now shifts to scaling fast and strengthening platform performance.

CHICAGO, IL and TOKYO, Japan, June 9, 2025 – CADDi has appointed Chris Cope as vice president of Engineering. Cope brings over 20 years of experience in technology development, with a focus in AI systems, security and automation frameworks.

Prior to joining CADDi, Cope held leadership positions at firms such as Xometry and Aledade. At Xometry, he served as senior director of software engineering and chief information security officer (CISO). During his time there, he contributed to the company’s growth from its Series B stage through to its public offering, focusing on platform scalability and security infrastructure. He also led development and site reliability teams, supporting compliance efforts for customers in regulated sectors such as Aerospace and Defense. He brings the background that can support the company’s push to expand its AI platform while keeping technical and security requirements in place.

At Aledade, Cope led DevOps and security initiatives, and implemented secure, scalable systems that supported growth.
