BIRMINGHAM, UK, May 15, 2025 – Cookson Industrial will participate in The Elite London Exhibition 2025, showcasing a range of precision-crafted metal products made from silver, gold, and platinum. The display will include new designs created in collaboration with Boltenstern, an Austria-based fine jewelry manufacturer known for combining traditional techniques with additive manufacturing.
This collaboration reflects Cookson expansion into the luxury segment. The company supplied metal powder and additive manufacturing expertise to support the production of Boltenstern’s ‘Embrace’ collection. The collection incorporates gemstone settings with lattice geometries made possible through additive manufacturing.
A division of HM Precious Metals, Cookson Industrial has applied its additive manufacturing capabilities to support the aerospace sector, including projects focused on 3D-printed components. Its integrated supply chain have contributed to programs such as the development of non-toxic “green thrusters” for space applications.
Visitors will also view Cookson’s 3D-printed chess set, manufactured using its EOS80 system. The set is available in multiple precious metals and a range of metal surface finishes. This project demonstrates the company’s application of precision metal additive manufacturing in producing functional and detailed components for design and display purposes.
Nikesh Patel, Head of Cookson Industrial, commented: “The Elite London exhibition is a fantastic platform to demonstrate what’s possible with 3D-printed precious metals. Our experience working with these materials puts us in a strong position to deliver high-end, one-of-a-kind designs. These pieces truly embody what it means to be ‘elite’ – exclusive, personalized and impossible to replicate.”
“Our 10-year partnership with Boltenstern is a perfect example of additive technology’s potential in the luxury space. Together, we’ve produced customizable fine jewelry finished to the highest standards. The Embrace collection showcases designs that simply couldn’t be achieved using traditional methods – it really must be seen to be appreciated.”
