LIMASSOL, Cyprus, Oct 7, 2025 – ENCY Software has released new updates across the ENCY X ecosystem. The changes reduce setup time, improve machining quality, and align with production workflows. ENCY 2.0 reflects an understanding of how engineers, operators, and integrators work now, focusing on usability and manufacturing needs rather than incremental upgrades.
ENCY 2.0: What’s New
Interface
The ENCY 2.0 interface features a redesigned start page that simplifies access to tutorials, project libraries, and workspaces. Users can preview projects from the home screen, open shared content instantly, and join cloud sessions with fewer steps. A new license and maintenance status bar keeps users informed and helps prevent unexpected access interruptions. The update also adds a light UI theme. While the dark mode remains preferred for long work sessions, users can switch to a bright interface based on personal preference or workspace lighting.
Platform Enhancements
Tool Assemblies* – The new machine kit editor lets users build complete tool assemblies for mill-turn machines by combining holders, adapters, and cutting tools. Configurations are interactive and can be edited during setup, with turret changes and 3D visualization.

Propagation – Geometry selection is now faster with feature recognition and propagation. The update reduces manual input and accelerates job setup, particularly for parts that contain repeating features.
New Technologies
Machining from Inside – ENCY 2.0 natively supports internal surface machining. Operations like rotary finishing, morph, 6D contouring, and 5D surfacing can be applied inside closed geometries – without workarounds or manual edits.
5D Surfacing Enhancements – Several upgrades improve control and surface quality:
– Barrel Tool support enables smooth contact point transitions for taper barrel mills.
– Adaptive step in parallel-to-curve strategies ensures uniform tool engagement and finish.
– Radial/Axial stock lets users set material allowance in two directions for fine-tuned results.
Surface Extension – Users can extend part geometry in model mode, simplifying tool entry/retract near boundaries and improving path continuity in finishing operations.

Feeds and Speeds*
ENCY 2.0 introduces a smart feeds and speeds table that adapts cutting parameters to workpiece material, tool material, coating, and machining type. Feed rates are automatically reduced in corners and at cross-hole intersections, improving tool life and surface quality.

Material Removal Rate Graph
The new material removal rate graph shows how much material is removed per second, helping users optimize machining efficiency while maintaining part quality. The feature also integrates with ENCY Tuner for improved shop-floor control.

ENCY Robot 2.0: New Features for Robot Programming
ENCY 2.0 introduces improvements to offline robot programming. A new collision avoidance algorithm delivers faster and stable path planning, critical for complex robotic cells. Programming speed increases without compromising safety.

The updated automatic robot axis map* simplifies multi-axis kinematics management. Robot setups, including gantry-mounted systems, can be defined automatically. These updates make ENCY Robot effective for industrial automation and API-based integration.
Additive Manufacturing Updates
These updates bring ENCY’s additive workflows to the same level of control and precision as its subtractive tools.
ENCY 2.0 improves the non-planar slicer with support for IGES/STEP surface models, allowing accurate slicing and faster toolpath generation. Users can define custom start points, adjust them by layer, and apply tool orientation methods – such as normals, vectors, and guide curves – to improve deposition quality.
A new minimum layer time feature enforces a set time per layer to stabilize material curing. Feed control in corners, adapted from milling, helps prevent buildup and overheating during printing.
Infill options include new patterns – lines, grid, and triangles – with adjustable orientation and custom normals for better strength, appearance, and print performance.
ENCY AI Process Planner: Project-Data-Driven CAM Assistance
At ENCY, AI is viewed as a practical tool. The AI process planner analyzes 3D models and project data to create machining operations. It assists engineers by speeding up routine tasks while maintaining user control. All processing occurs locally, ensuring data privacy and intellectual property protection. The AI process planner supports milling, turning, additive manufacturing, and inspection.

ENCY Tuner 2.0: Simplifying Interpreter Configuration
ENCY Tuner 2.0 features a redesigned interface that emphasizes clarity and usability. A new setup wizard lets users create or edit interpreters through an intuitive graphical interface. This update lowers the barrier for customizing G-code simulation, making it easier for both shop-floor specialists and support engineers to use without compromising flexibility.
ENCY API: Customization, Automation, and Integration
The ENCY Open API has evolved into a complete toolkit for developers, dealers, and users. Built on COM technology, it supports C#, C++, and Delphi, with documentation available on GitHub. Users can create custom operations, edit CLData, configure interpreters, and connect ENCY to external systems, including PLM platforms such as Teamenter. The API also enables importing SVG files and building cloud-connected feeds and speeds databases, removing system limitations and expanding automation options.
ENCY Hyper – General Availability
Alongside the ENCY 2.0 GA, ENCY Hyper is available to customers and partners.
