NOVATO, CA, May 30, 2025 – IMSI Design has released TurboCAD 2025, introducing more than 70 updates and new features. The latest version focuses on improving precision, workflow efficiency, and creativity in computer-aided design across domains.

Performance, User Interface & Usability

TurboCAD 2025 adds Smartly Organized Workspaces that group tools by task type. These pre-configured design environments support activities such as 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and architectural planning, helping users reduce setup time and improving efficiency.

The Redesigned Start Page offers workspace selection, professional templates, theme customization, and instant previews of recent files. The Command Finder enables quick tool searches and direct command execution, reducing navigation time while keeping functions accessible.

AI-Powered Features

The optional TurboCAD Copilot Professional plug-in introduces AI-driven tools to enhance rendering workflows, provide design insights, and facilitate part creation. The Rendering Scene Analysis tool delivers scene insights, including inventories, material properties, light sources, and other critical data for photorealistic results. Enhanced reporting includes color marks, texture links, a dark theme, and raw HTML previews for optimized workflows. TurboCAD 2025 introduces a Part Creator and Part Editor for parametric creation and non-destructive editing of mechanical components.

Rendering and Visualization

TurboCAD 2025 builds on TurboLux Rendering engine with features like adjustable Ground Shadows, precise Tone Mapping for scene brightness, and improved defaults optimized for architectural visualization.

Architectural Tools: Curtain Walls

The Curtain Wall tool enables grid-based façade design and supports nested divisions and material assignment. It is suitable for creating complex building envelopes and works with industry file formats.

File Interoperability

TurboCAD 2025 ensures collaboration with enhanced file handling capabilities, including ODA STEP Support, Teigha (ODA) 25.7 Update, and SketchUp 2024 Support.

  • Deluxe: $349.99 – A perfect blend of 2D simplicity and 3D capability.
  • Designer: $99.99 – 2D drafting for beginners and hobbyists.

All variants are available as standalone licenses or through flexible subscription plans, including 1-year and 3-year options.

Each purchase includes a one-year subscription to TurboCAD Copilot Help, which uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to deliver answers based on official documentation, FAQs, and video tutorials.

TurboCAD Copilot Professional is offered as an optional plug-in, available with a one-year subscription at $199.99 or a three-year subscription at $499.99, for users requiring advanced design assistance.
