
TOLLAND, CT, Mar 6, 2025 – Sandvik announces the acquisition of Barefoot CNC, CAD/CAM Solutions, and CamTech Engineering Services, marking major milestones in Mastercam’s mission to shape the future of manufacturing. Additionally, Sandvik has acquired CIMCO probing technology and post processor business, a software add-on for CAD/CAM programs that enables CNC touch probes to measure and locate workpieces before machining, improving part quality and reducing set up time.
Barefoot CNC has served NC and SC for over 30 years, CAD/CAM Solutions has been a trusted partner in AL, GA and TN, and CamTech Engineering Services has delivered best-in-class solutions in FL. Integrating these partners strengthens Mastercam’s regional support and enhances commitment to providing CAD/CAM solutions.

The tool that has already been used by machinists as a software add-on with Mastercam programs, will immediately be rebranded as Mastercam Probing. “Integrating the CIMCO probing technology and post processor business into our offerings and rebranding it as Mastercam Probing enhances the seamless experience we provide our customers,” said Bukowski. “This evolution ensures manufacturers have access to the most advanced, fully integrated solutions, empowering them to maintain a competitive edge.”
