MUNICH, Germany and RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, May 14, 2025 – The Nemetschek Group has announced the launch of its operations in Saudi Arabia. The move aligns with the company’s support for Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, focusing on regional growth, digitalization, and sustainability goals. Nemetschek is expanding its presence to support the growing demand for digital construction tools in Saudi Arabia. The region’s construction market is scaling, with over $1 trillion invested in large-scale projects with emphasis on digital workflows and sustainability. By bringing its brands – Allplan, Bluebeam, Graphisoft, Maxon, Solibri, Spacewell, and Vectorworks – closer to this market, Nemetschek aims to provide local professionals with access to advanced BIM, AI, and digital twin technologies. These tools are intended to help architects, engineers, and builders improve project efficiency and meet evolving industry standards.
Muayad Simbawa has been appointed managing director for Nemetschek’s operations in Saudi Arabia and will lead the company’s regional efforts from Riyadh. Muayad Simbawa has nearly 20 years of experience in digital transformation, infrastructure, oil and gas, power, and enterprise software. He has a background in sales and operations and has established professional networks across Saudi Arabia. In his new role, he will focus on advancing technology use in the AEC/O sector and supporting the region’s construction and design initiatives.
The initial focus will be on supporting key giga projects and advancing digital transformation within the construction sector. Its first formal engagement in the Kingdom will be at the Saudi Giga Projects 2025 Summit in Riyadh, an event that brings together key decision-makers in the industry. The summit offers a venture to showcase Nemetschek’s capabilities and engage with stakeholders in large-scale development.
“Saudi Arabia is leading the way in global construction innovation, with ambitious developments and a strong commitment to digital transformation. By establishing our presence in the Kingdom under the leadership of Muayad Simbawa, we are dedicated to equipping professionals across the region with the technologies and support they need to build a more efficient, sustainable, and connected future,” says Yves Padrines, CEO of the Nemetschek Group.
“We are excited to bring Nemetschek’s world-class solutions to Saudi Arabia, supporting Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s drive towards digitalization and sustainability. Our goal is to collaborate with local partners and customers to unlock new levels of efficiency and innovation across the construction and media sectors,” adds Muayad Simbawa, managing director, Nemetschek Saudi Arabia.
The Nemetschek Group will also participate in the upcoming Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo (20 – 22 May 2025) with its brands Maxon, Spacewell and Vectorworks. SEA is a global expo where entertainment professionals connect, share insights, and collaborate on practical solutions to industry challenges. Nemetschek’s involvement aligns with its focus on the Middle East’s digital transformation and sustainable infrastructure development.
