OMRON Robotics has added the OL-450S to its existing Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) fleet. Meet the OL-450S

PLEASANTON, CA, May 7, 2025 – OMRON has introduced the OL-450S, an omni-directional Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) designed to support material transport automation. Equipped with a built-in lifting plate, advanced navigation capabilities, and centralized fleet management, the OL-450S is suited for industries like automotive, semiconductors, electronics, food, consumer goods, and healthcare, where efficient material handling is needed.

Streamlined and Safe Material Handling

The OL-450S transports load carriers with a payload capacity of up to 450 kg and a lifting range from 108 to 308 mm. Its integrated lifting plate reduces the need for customization and engineering time. This design helps businesses improve operational efficiency without changing infrastructure.

Advanced Navigation and Wireless Charging for Smarter Operations

Equipped with 360° safety coverage and an omni-directional drive, the OL-450S navigates complex layouts while avoiding obstacles and operating safely near personnel. Sensors placed around the unit support accurate positioning. It can move forward, backward, and sideways.

The OL-450S supports wireless charging, enabling flexible deployment, streamlined system management, and continuous operation.

Centralized Fleet Management for Maximum Efficiency

As with all OMRON AMRs, the OL-450S is managed by OMRON’s FLOW Core software, a centralized platform capable of managing fleets of up to 100 mobile robots with varying payload capacities. This enterprise-level system ensures seamless integration into existing infrastructure, enabling streamlined operations and optimal fleet performance.

“The OL-450S represents a significant advancement in autonomous material handling,” said Justin King, vice president, product management and marketing at OMRON Robotics and Safety Technologies. “Its low-profile design, combined with its powerful navigation and fleet management capabilities, makes it an ideal solution for businesses looking to automate their material transport processes and improve safety and productivity.”
