Siemens Adds AI-Assisted Workflows to Simcenter Testlab

PLANO, TX, Sep 29, 2025 – Siemens Digital Industries Software released new updates to its Simcenter Testlab platform. The updates add AI-assisted workflows that accelerate modal analysis by up to 7x faster and reduce staffing for physical impact testing. The software includes automated data capture and processing, improving data quality and consistency across all test phases, allowing engineers to run tests.

The update adds AI-assisted modal testing that accelerates analysis workflows by up to 700%. Automated mode selection, validation, and a unified modal analysis dashboard streamline the process. Intelligent sensor placement and automated hit selection simplify impact data collection. These features also reduce the number of personnel required for testing.

Enhanced Testing and Analysis Tools

  • Transfer Path Analysis (TPA): New automation features and processing capabilities in Simcenter Testlab decreases analysis time by 40%, making NVH predictions accessible to less experienced users.
  • First ISO 20270-compliant solution: Shorten the time it takes for component characterization from weeks to hours through automated acquisition of blocked forces and impedance FRFs with automated component model extraction solution using Simcenter physical testing hardware and new Simcenter Testlab automated component model extractor software.
  • Streamline test preparation: Use predefined sequences to automate data processing and validation in Simcenter Testlab Schedule Designer to ensure data traceability and eliminate the risk of incomplete test data.

Seamless Integration with Test Hardware

The latest update also transfers test plans defined in the Schedule Designer to Simcenter SCADAS RS data acquisition system recorder app. This integration provides wireless tablet-based instructions to operators and enables data validation and processing, reducing errors.

Simcenter SCADAS RS can now be combined with Simcenter SCADAS Recorder, Mobile, and Lab systems to expand channel counts but also upgrade capabilities of existing investments. Image: Siemens

Simcenter SCADAS RS also allow to export data in universal or third-party formats, so the system can work with other software platforms for data processing and analysis.
