COLOGNE, Germany, Mar 28, 2025 – SprintRay will debut new expansions to its digital dentistry portfolio at IDS 2025. Highlights include the European launch of the Midas Digital Press 3D printer and the expansion of the digital print product line with next-gen sports guard and accessory kits. The advancements underscore SprintRay‘s commitment to patient care and practice efficiency through digital-first solutions.
Midas Digital Press Expands to Europe
SprintRay is introducing the Midas Digital Press 3D printer to the European market. The product is designed for immediate dental restorations. Using Digital Press Stereolithography (DPS) technology, Midas is considered the first 3D printer to process ultra-thick materials. This advancement offers improved strength, appearance, and efficiency for dental restorations. With SprintRay Ceramic Crown and OnX Tough 2 resin capsules, Midas can print up to three crowns, six inlays/onlays, or nine veneers in a 10-minute print cycle. Paired with the SprintRay AI Studio design software, the system supports faster, accurate, and integrated restorative processes.
“We are excited to introduce the Midas Digital Press restorative workflow with SprintRay ceramic-filled resins to the European market, transforming the way dental professionals deliver single-unit definitive restorations,” said Amir Mansouri, Ph.D., CEO and co-founder of SprintRay. “In the United States alone, more than 70,000 restorations have been successfully 3D printed with Ceramic Crown resin in the past 24 months, with clinicians reporting superior fit and restoration quality compared to traditional milling. We look forward to extending these benefits to more dentists and patients worldwide.”
Expanding the Digital Print Portfolio in Europe
SprintRay’s digital print product line offers 3D printing solutions designed for dental clinics and labs. The SprintRay Pro 2, released in 2024, improved workflow efficiency in dental printing. At IDS 2025, SprintRay plans to present the Pro 2 Duo Kit, a patent-pending dual-resin printing system that allows the use of two different resins simultaneously. This system is intended to support the streamlined production of full dentures and splints.
Further expanding its portfolio, SprintRay will introduce:
- SportsGuard Resin – Available in crimson red and cobalt blue, offering custom mouthguards for athletes.
- Direct Print Retainer Resin – Launching in Q3 2025, this resin enables the 3D printing of clear retainers with micron-level accuracy, eliminating the need for traditional thermoforming.
New Strategic Partnership with Straumann
SprintRay continues to grow through key partnerships with industry leaders like Nobel Biocare, Ivoclar, Medit, 3Shape, Dexis, Solventum, and Align, offering access to its 3D printing technology through integrated APIs, aligned protocols, and co-developed workflows. At IDS 2025, SprintRay takes another step forward in a new strategic alliance with the Straumann Group. At the core of the partnership is the launch of a Straumann Signature Midas by SprintRay, a co-branded version of SprintRay’s Midas Digital Press 3D printer to be integrated with the Straumann AXS platform and Straumann SIRIOS intraoral scanner, as well as collaboration to develop innovative implant workflows on AXS.
“SprintRay continues to push the boundaries of digital dentistry across the globe, and IDS 2025 is the perfect platform to showcase our latest advancements and strategic partnerships,” said Amir Mansouri, Ph.D., CEO and co-founder of SprintRay. “With Midas Digital Press and our expanding material portfolio, we are empowering dental professionals with the tools they need to deliver faster, more precise, and highly aesthetic restorations. Our new collaboration with the Straumann Group marks a significant milestone in dental 3D printing, which will immediately expand access to these end-to-end clinical workflows for more users and meet the growing demand of single-visit treatments.”
