Supermicro Expands Silicon Valley DCBBS Campus for AI Data Centers

San Jose campus supports system design, manufacturing, testing and rack-scale deployment for data centers

SAN JOSE, CA, Apr 27, 2026 – Super Micro is expanding its U.S. manufacturing and engineering footprint with a new Silicon Valley business complex and its largest domestic site, the DCBBS campus in San Jose. The expansion adds more than 714,000 square feet across a 32.8-acre site and supports system design, manufacturing and deployment of AI infrastructure for high-density data center workloads.

The new campus becomes Supermicro’s fourth Bay Area site and brings its regional footprint to nearly 4 million square feet. The facilities support system design, domestic manufacturing, testing, service and global distribution of Data Center Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) for AI infrastructure.

DCBBS architecture is built from validated components and sub-systems. It supports deployment from individual GPUs and networking switches to full rack systems, site infrastructure, management software and related services. The approach connects system-level design with rack-scale integration for AI workloads.

Super Micro is expected to create jobs across engineering, manufacturing and business functions. It supports workforce development and increases U.S.-based production capacity.

Supermicro is restructuring its Silicon Valley operations to support deployment of AI infrastructure. The work focuses on rack-level integration, energy use and system deployment timelines across hyperscale, cloud and enterprise data center environments.

The expansion reflects rising demand for AI infrastructure as data centers deploy higher-density compute systems. As workloads scale, system design, rack integration and manufacturing capacity must align to support deployment speed, energy use and operational efficiency across large-scale environments.
