
SAN CLEMENTE, CA, May 23, 2025 – Swift Engineering has appointed Fernando Sarmiento to the position of manufacturing engineer. In that role, Sarmiento will oversee the manufacture and assembly of various composite components.
The Swift Engineering composites unit provides turn-key structures, assemblies and vehicles in a Nadcap Composites accredited environment for industries including commercial, aerospace, defense and aviation. These materials include hand lay-up laminates, cored structures and detailed assemblies.
Sarmiento previously served as a chemical engineer at Axiom Materials where he assisted in formulating and developing the company’s Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) line of prepregs. His experience encompasses different prepreg systems including formulation, production, layup and mechanical testing.
