GUANGZHOU, China, June 10, 2025 – ZWSOFT has released ZWCAD MFG 2026, the mechanical CAD solution designed for engineers and manufacturers working across the product development lifecycle. This version introduces new features aimed at improving design efficiency and managing engineering data effectively. The update is structured to help users minimize design errors and streamline key workflows involved in mechanical product design and documentation.

Why Choose ZWCAD MFG 2026?

ZWCAD MFG 2026 is developed to support mechanical and industrial design processes through expanded part libraries, improved automation, and enhanced data compatibility. It is intended to help teams work efficiently and support existing legacy files. The update supports an efficient shift to modern workflows without disrupting existing processes.

What’s New in ZWCAD MFG 2026?

Product Inplace Manager: Smarter Data, Better Collaboration

Modern mechanical design involves managing both geometry and associated data. The new Product Inplace Manager introduces a visual assembly tree that allows users to create, navigate, and access part drawings within a unified interface.

What sets it apart is the ability to update and maintain BOM data without opening individual drawings. Interlinked parent-child relationships ensure consistent updates across all assemblies, improving both accuracy and speed. Users can also run batch operations, like printing, script execution, and file exports – removing manual tasks from daily workflows.

Screw Connection: 65% Faster Design for the Most Common Assembly Task

Screw connections are a routine part of mechanical design that can take considerable time. ZWCAD MFG 2026 adds a wizard-based Screw Connection tool that boosts efficiency by over 65%.

Engineers can insert complete assemblies (bolts, washers, nuts) with one click by selecting a nominal diameter. The system auto-matches compatible sizes and calculates bolt length based on hole depth. It also supports creating reusable templates, switching between view styles like section views, and editing components after insertion. This functionality applies to applications including pressure vessels, gear housings, and control panels.

Hole Generator: Parametric Precision, Effortlessly Delivered

Precision hole placement is intuitive and customizable with the Hole Generator in ZWCAD MFG 2026. This tool allows users to create a different types holes – straight, stepped, tapered, center – using built-in international standards.

By specifying the hole type and diameter, the system automatically populates the remaining parameters. It also provides support for local section views, automated dimensioning, and two annotation modes – Leader and General – to ensure clarity and accuracy in technical drawings.

Part Library Expansion: Over 370 New Parts, Countless Possibilities

ZWCAD MFG 2026 adds over 370 new standard parts based on JIS and KS specifications, including structural steel profiles, bearings, and fasteners. These region-specific components allow engineers to work with predefined, locally compliant parts, reducing manual selection and supporting global compliance.

Multi-Language Support

ZWCAD MFG 2026 supports a total of 11 languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, German, Korean, Turkish, Polish, Czech, Spanish, and Hungarian.

Broad AutoCAD Mechanical Compatibility: From AM6 (2004) to 2024

ZWCAD MFG 2026 ensures import and export of legacy drawings by supporting all AutoCAD Mechanical versions from AM6 (2004) to 2024. This minimizes file conversion issues, enabling engineers to protect existing investments and reuse years of design assets.
